Cantigny will add a superhero-inspired version of its Christmas light show for the 2026 season. The Wheaton, Illinois, estate says “A Marvelous Christmas” will pair its illuminated gardens with music inspired by superhero films on five Sundays.
The seasonal event is scheduled to run from November 20, 2026, through January 3, 2027. The themed evenings are November 22 and 29, and December 6, 13 and 27. Cantigny describes the walk-through as a half-mile accessible path through illuminated gardens and landscapes; the ordinary light show and holiday music remain on other open dates.
Source: Daily Herald, “Christmas at Cantigny returns for 4th season with superhero-inspired light show on Sundays”, posted October 19, 2026, as content submitted by Cantigny. Cantigny's current Light Show & McCormick House page lists the five themed dates and describes the program.
The announced theme adds a genre-specific music track to an established holiday lighting event rather than replacing the traditional show. Cantigny advises guests to check its event calendar for schedules, ticket prices and reservations.
