Los Angeles Union Station will hold its 11th annual Christmas tree lighting on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the historic Ticket Concourse. The free event is set to include a 30-foot Christmas tree, Santa Claus, live music and family activities.
The station’s seasonal display will continue beyond the ceremony: decorations are scheduled to remain throughout the station from Nov. 19 through Dec. 27. MyNewsLA reports that the décor will include illuminated palm trees outside, a wreath on the clock tower, and oversized wreaths, ornaments and lights inside. Christmas trees are also planned for the Waiting Room and South Patio.
Organizers say the celebration will include performances by Mariachi Ausente and Lizzy & the Triggermen, with Charles Phoenix as host. The South Patio and its 30-foot tree are expected to be open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., though hours may change. Visitors can also look for holiday-decoration tours offered by the Los Angeles Conservancy, which require advance registration.
