Moose Jaw Starts Installing Downtown Christmas Lights Ahead of October Event

Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, began installing its downtown holiday lights on October 16, ahead of the city’s Christmas in October weekend, scheduled for October 22–25, 2026. The seasonal displays are expected to illuminate downtown for the event.

The city said the decorations will be switched off for Remembrance Day and turned back on afterward for the holiday season. The schedule places the early installation within a broader community event while preserving the city’s observance in November.
