North Carolina Arboretum Opens Winter Lights Ticket Sales With Three New Displays

Tickets are now on sale for Winter Lights, the North Carolina Arboretum’s annual holiday display in Asheville. This year’s walk-through event is scheduled from Nov. 13, 2026, through Jan. 3, 2027, with a one-mile garden route illuminated by more than one million lights.

Three new installations take inspiration from forest and water habitats: “Forest Floor” features mushrooms, “Beneath the Riverbed” looks below lily pads, and “Between Water and Woods” features oversized dragonflies. The displays join the Arboretum’s illuminated formal gardens. Local musicians, cocoa and s’mores are also part of the visitor experience.

Tickets are priced per vehicle, with advance dates grouped into value, standard and peak tiers. The Arboretum says advance purchase is recommended and entry is subject to availability.
