The Town and Village of Oakfield, New York, say the Majestic Lights Christmas tree celebration will take place on Friday, December 4, 2026, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in Triangle Park. The event is planned to feature illuminated Christmas trees, hot cocoa, cookies and a visit from Santa.
The clarification follows the cancellation of Oakfield Betterment Committee’s separate “Winter Wonderland” display. The town-and-village announcement says that cancellation does not affect Majestic Lights. It also says decorated trees will return to Haxton Memorial Public Library this year. The town’s event listing independently confirms a Majestic Lights Christmas Tree Lighting for December 4 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The source is labeled a press release. The Town of Oakfield’s current event listing confirms the December 4 tree-lighting date and time; the town page does not display a publication date.
Majestic Lights is a separate municipal celebration and should not be confused with the canceled private display. Event information is current as of the October 15 announcement.
